The 5.6:1 is a balanced all-rounder at 70 cm per turn — great for crankbaits, deep swimbaits and larger baits where you want torque. The 7.3:1 picks up 91 cm per turn, which suits jerkbaits, topwater, buzzbaits and other fast or slack-line techniques.
Right-handed casters usually choose the left-hand model so they can keep rod control after the cast; the right-hand version suits left-handed casters or anglers who prefer to switch hands. Performance and features are identical on both.
Around 320 m of 0.28 mm monofilament. Braid fills will be considerably larger, leaving room for a heavier leader.
Savage Gear positions the SG10 as a freshwater predator reel — pike, zander, bass and similar. The supplier does not rate it for regular saltwater use.
238 g with 12.3 kg maximum drag — light enough for long casting days and strong enough to stop hard-fighting pike.
An externally adjustable centrifugal brake lets you tune spool start-up resistance without opening the side plate — faster setup changes between baits, fewer overruns and better performance in crosswinds.

The SG10 is Savage Gear's top-tier baitcasting (BC) reel, built for serious lure anglers chasing pike, zander and other predators. A rigid aluminium body, 9+1 stainless ball bearings (BB) and a standout external centrifugal brake combine for smooth casts and controlled fights.
An EDP-painted aluminium frame and side plates keep the SG10 stiff under load, while a separate stainless steel reel seat locks it securely to the rod. The A7075 hard-anodised worm shaft and machined gear deliver a precise, direct feel.
The headline feature is an externally adjustable centrifugal brake. It gives you longer casts, fewer backlashes and better control in strong crosswinds — especially useful when launching heavy swimbaits or chatterbaits.
9+1 stainless steel ball bearings (including two ARB Japanese BB) and DuraGrease lubrication give the SG10 its quiet, creep-free running. A non-loss tension knob and a carbon handle knob round out the ergonomics.
Available in left- or right-hand retrieve and two gear ratios — 5.6:1 with 70 cm per turn for deep-running baits and balanced torque, or 7.3:1 with 91 cm per turn for quick pick-up on topwater and jerkbait fishing. Line capacity is 320 m of 0.28 mm monofilament across all versions.
