They are designed for coastal spinning with lures for sea trout and sea bass. The lightweight, long-casting blanks suit active fishing along the coast, so choose the version whose casting range matches the lures you want to use.
Choose 2.46 m or 2.79 m with 5–18 g for the light casting range. The 2.46 m rod weighs 132 g, compared with 151 g for the longer version. The 2.79 m, 7–23 g version weighs 153 g and accepts a higher lure-weight ceiling without adding length. The 2.90 m, 8–28 g version offers the greatest length and highest casting range, but weighs 161 g and needs more transport space.
Yes, the range is intended for coastal lure fishing, and the 7–23 g and 8–28 g versions are specifically described for long casts with spoons and plugs. Match the complete lure weight to the selected rod's stated range of 5–18 g, 7–23 g or 8–28 g rather than assuming every version accepts the same lures.
All four models have two sections and include a deluxe rod bag. The stated transport lengths are 134 cm for the 2.46 m rod, 144 cm for both 2.79 m rods and 148 cm for the 2.90 m rod. Check these lengths against your storage space before choosing a version.
All use Toray 46T carbon blanks, CCS SiN guides, triple-legged shooting guides, an Alien Tournament reel seat and AAAA cork rear handles. These provide the same blank material, line-guiding system, reel mounting and grip material throughout the family, so length, casting range, weight and transport size remain the main selection criteria.

The Savage Gear Salmonoid CCS sea fishing rods are designed for coastal spinning for sea trout and sea bass. Their lightweight Toray 46T carbon blanks combine long-casting performance with a fast yet forgiving response, making the range suitable for active lure fishing along the coast. The models have a Moderate Fast action.
The four two-piece versions cover different lure weights and lengths. Choose the casting range to suit your lures, then compare length, rod weight and transport size.
2.46 m, 5–18 g, L: the shortest and lightest version weighs 132 g. It suits light coastal lure fishing and has a stated transport length of 134 cm.
2.79 m, 5–18 g, L: the same lure-weight range in a longer rod, weighing 151 g with a transport length of 144 cm. Choose it when you want more rod length without increasing the casting-weight range.
2.79 m, 7–23 g, ML: this version raises the casting range while retaining the 2.79 m length. It weighs 153 g and packs down to 144 cm. The supplier specifically describes beach wading and long casts with coastal spoons and plugs.
2.90 m, 8–28 g, M: the longest version has the highest casting-weight ceiling in this family. It weighs 161 g and has a stated transport length of 148 cm. It accommodates heavier spoons and plugs within its rating, at the cost of greater rod weight and transport length.
The power codes are L (light), ML (medium light) and M (medium). Both 5–18 g versions share the light power rating, so length and weight are the main differences between them.
Toray 46T carbon forms the lightweight blanks used for long-distance casting. CCS (Coil Control) SiN guides and triple-legged shooting guides guide the line during the cast. An Alien Tournament reel seat holds the reel, and AAAA cork rear handles provide the gripping surface for casting and fishing.
Every version in this family has two sections and comes with a deluxe rod bag. Compare the stated transport lengths of 134, 144 and 148 cm before choosing a version for your available storage or transport space.
