The 2.79 m version supports both lure types for the same species with a 7–24 g rating, and also covers coastal sea trout fishing.
The 2.79 m, 3.07 m, 3.2 m and 3.43 m versions are suitable for coastal sea trout with spoons and plugs from beaches and piers. Their lure ratings are 7–24 g, 12–35 g, 8–28 g and 11–38 g respectively. Select by your lure weight and preferred rod length, noting that the longer 3.2 m rod has a lower upper rating than the 3.07 m rod.
The 2.44 m and 3.2 m rods have a Moderate action. The 2.79 m, 3.07 m and 3.43 m rods have a Moderate Fast action. The Savage Gear Parabellum Travel is a four-piece spinning rod family for fishing trips, with versions for freshwater predators and coastal sea trout. Packed lengths of 66–90 cm make the rods easier to carry in a car or on a flight. Choose by lure weight, fishing situation and packed length rather than length alone.
The classic design combines Toray carbon blanks with forgiving moderate or moderate-fast actions. The rods offer casting performance, lure control and bite detection, while the forgiving bend cushions a fish's runs during the fight. SiN Coil Control guides manage the line during casting.
AAA cork handles have comfortable TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) palm grips with no memory effect. The Alien Lock Down reel seat uses a double lock to keep the reel securely seated while fishing. A ready-to-fish deluxe rod bag is supplied for carrying the rod.

The 3.07 m, 3.2 m and 3.43 m versions suit sea trout fishing with coastal spoons and plugs from beaches, piers and other coastal spots. The 3.07 m version has a higher lure rating and power than the 3.2 m version, despite being shorter. Choose the 3.2 m version for its moderate action and 8–28 g rating, or the 3.43 m version for the greatest length and highest upper lure rating in this family. More assembled length also means a longer packed rod.
The 3.2 m version also supports sbirolino fishing with flies and streamers. The 3.43 m version is suitable for sbirolino presentations with sea trout flies. These are additional uses of the spinning rods, not fly-rod models.
