It is made for heavy saltwater boat fishing with large lures and strong fish. The range is aimed at species such as cod, coalfish and halibut in deep water and rough conditions.
Choose 100–250g for the lightest heavy-duty setup, 150–400g for the broadest all-round range, and 200–600g when you need maximum reserve for larger lures, deeper water or harder-pulling fish.
Yes. All listed Fury SG6 Boat variants here are 2.13m long, two-piece rods with the same transport length, so your choice mainly comes down to casting range and power.
The series uses a moderate-fast action. That gives a useful mix of lure control, pressure under load and cushioning when fighting strong fish close to the boat.

The Savage Gear Fury SG6 Boat series is built for demanding saltwater boat work with heavy lures and strong fish. These boat rods combine a moderate-fast action with a tough Torayca carbon blank, giving you lifting power, steady pressure and good lure control over cod, coalfish and halibut.
The SG6 Boat range is designed around rough offshore conditions where strong current, depth and heavy rigs put constant load on the rod. At 2.13m with a two-piece construction, the rods stay manageable on deck while still giving enough leverage for working big baits and turning fish away from structure.
Each rod uses a Japanese Torayca carbon blank with FUJI reel seat hardware and SeaGuide guides. The premium cork handle offers a secure hold in wet conditions, and the strong blank is tuned to keep control when jigging heavy weights or fighting fish directly below the boat.
Choose the lighter casting-weight model for heavy jigging with less extreme lure sizes, the middle option for a broad all-round boat setup, and the strongest version when you expect deeper water, larger softbaits or more demanding halibut-style fishing. All versions share the same length, transport format and moderate-fast action, so the main difference is power reserve and lure range.
