The optional nose attachment enables a broad, gliding S-curve action higher in the water column. Alongside its vibrating, side-flashing retrieve and movement on the fall, this gives you another way to search water with the same lure. Both sizes offer this option.
No. Its long-casting ability suits searching open water, but the supplier also specifies vertical fishing along structure, rockpiles and edges. Both versions sink, so you can choose between covering water with casts and a vertical presentation around these features.
It is specified for freshwater, with perch, pike and zander listed as primary species and catfish also named in the description. That supports freshwater predator fishing rather than a saltwater-specific choice.
You receive one lure in the selected colour with two SGY 1X BN trebles and forged split rings. Its built-in tubular rattle chamber produces a loud sound, but the lure is unscented. It contains lead, which may also matter to your choice.

The Savage Gear Fat Vibes XL is a detailed, sinking lipless crankbait for freshwater predator fishing. Its long-casting design helps search open water, while its vibrating, side-flashing retrieve provides a distinct visual and movement signal. The supplier lists perch, pike and zander as primary species and also names catfish. It can also be fished vertically along structure, rockpiles and edges.
VMS (Vivid Movement System) keeps the lure moving on the fall, so its action is not limited to the retrieve. The optional nose attachment point produces a broad, gliding S-curve action higher in the water column. This gives you another presentation from the same lure when covering water. A built-in tubular rattle chamber adds a loud, characteristic sound to the movement and flash.
The 10 cm version weighs 58 g and has a stated swimming depth of 2–10 m. The 12.5 cm version weighs 90 g and is listed for 3–12 m. Choose the smaller, lighter version for the shallower stated range, or the larger, heavier version when its deeper range suits your fishing. Both sink and offer the same attachment options.
Both sizes are available in Roach, Bream, Firetiger, Golden Ambulance, Perch and Blue Silver Chrome. Choose the colour independently of size, as all six colours are offered in each size. No colour-specific water conditions are stated.
Each lure has two SGY 1X BN treble hooks and forged split rings for the hook connections. The 10 cm version uses size #1 trebles, while the 12.5 cm version uses #1/0. One lure in the selected colour is supplied. The lure is unscented and contains lead.
