The stated swimming depths are 1–2 m for 5.5cm/9g, 2–4 m for 6.5cm/16g and 2–6 m for 8cm/24g. Choose the matching depth range and a lure weight your tackle can handle. The 9g version is the smallest and lightest, while the 24g version reaches the deepest stated range and includes a rattle.
Cast and retrieve at varied speeds, occasionally letting it sink on a tight line. The blade starts rotating immediately and the lure works on both the fall and retrieve, allowing you to search for active fish with vibration and flash. It is intended for freshwater perch, asp, trout, pike and bass.
A built-in rattle is specified for the 8cm/24g size only. Choose this version if you want sound as well as vibration and flash, together with its stated 2–6 m swimming depth. A rattle is not specified for the 9g and 16g sizes.
You receive one lure in the chosen size and colour with one ultra-sharp SGY 1X BN hook. The hook sizes are #10 for 9g, #8 for 16g and #6 for 24g, so selecting the lure weight also selects its supplied hook size.

The Savage Gear Fat Tail Spin is a sinking tail spinner for freshwater lure fishing for perch, asp, trout, pike and bass. Designed for long casts and searching for active fish, it combines a vibrating body with a rear spinner blade that starts rotating immediately. Its flashing, vibrating action works on both the fall and the retrieve, so pauses remain part of the presentation.
Cast out and retrieve at varied speeds, occasionally allowing the lure to sink on a tight line. This alternates the retrieve with an active falling phase while keeping contact with the lure. The Fat Tail Spin is unscented and contains lead.
The three sizes differ in length, weight, stated swimming depth and hook size. Choose the depth range that suits the water you want to search, then check that the lure weight suits your tackle.
5.5cm, 9g: stated swimming depth of 1–2 m and hook size #10. This is the smallest, lightest option for the shallowest stated range.
6.5cm, 16g: stated swimming depth of 2–4 m and hook size #8. It provides an intermediate size and weight for a deeper range than the 9g version.
8cm, 24g: stated swimming depth of 2–6 m and hook size #6. This is the largest, heaviest option and covers the deepest stated range. It also has a built-in rattle, adding sound to the vibration and flash.
All three sizes retain the action on the fall and retrieve. The built-in rattle is specified only for the 24g size.
Each size is available in White Silver, Ayu, Firetiger, Perch, Blue Silver Pink, Dirty Silver, Blue Silver, Dirty Roach, Lemon Back Flash and Black Magic. Select the size and depth range first, then your preferred colour.
The pack contains one lure in the selected size and colour, fitted with one ultra-sharp SGY 1X BN hook. Hook size follows the lure weight as listed above.
