They are designed for Texas and Carolina rigs. The offset shape and Extreme Wide Gape allow weedless softbait presentation while supporting hook-ups, making them an option for fishing around vegetation. The pack supplies hooks, not a complete rig.
Size is the difference: 1 is the smallest, followed by 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0 and 5/0. All share the same construction and finish. Match the size to your softbait's body and leave space in the gape for hooking. Exact lure-length recommendations are not supplied.
No. They have micro barbs as well as ultra-sharp nano points. The barbs help retain a hooked fish, but the hooks are not a barbless option for waters that require barbless tackle.
Every size comes as a pack of 10 hooks, all in the selected size. It is not a mixed-size assortment, so choose the size needed for your softbait before ordering.

The Savage Gear EWG (Extreme Wide Gape) Offset Super Slide Hook is an offset hook for Texas and Carolina rigs. Its extra-wide gape supports reliable hook-ups while allowing weedless softbait presentation, useful when fishing for predators around vegetation.
The hooks are made from forged high carbon steel wire and have ultra-sharp nano points for penetration on the strike. Micro barbs help retain a hooked fish, so these are not barbless hooks. All sizes have the Super Slide finish and are listed for all water types.
The range covers sizes 1, 1/0, 2/0, 3/0, 4/0 and 5/0, from smallest to largest. Choose the hook size to suit the softbait's body so the wide gape has room to work. Size 1 is the smallest option, sizes 1/0 to 3/0 provide intermediate choices, and 4/0 and 5/0 are the largest options. Exact compatible lure lengths are not specified. Construction, point, barb and finish are shared across all six sizes.
Each pack contains 10 offset hooks in the selected size. These are hooks for building your rig, not a complete Texas or Carolina setup.
