Use the stated depth ranges to compare sizes: 13 cm/50 g covers 10–40 m, 17 cm/90 g 20–80 m, 19 cm/120 g 30–120 m, 22 cm/160 g 40–150 m and 23 cm/200 g 60–180 m. The deeper options also have larger bodies and higher weights, so choose the depth range and lure profile together. These ranges are not a guaranteed fixed running depth.
Yes. The Conger Eel can be cast and retrieved, dropped or jigged fast or slow, with its curly tail providing movement. It is a sinking lure, so you can switch between a retrieve and a lowered presentation rather than being limited to one method.
One lure in the selected colour is included, already fitted with a jighead and one heavy-duty stainless steel hook. No separate hook or jighead is needed for the supplied configuration. The hook is 5/0 on 13 cm, 7/0 on 17 cm and 19 cm, and 9/0 on 22 cm and 23 cm. The lure contains lead.
The line is intended for inshore and offshore predators, including snapper, cod, grouper, halibut, amberjack, barracuda and coalfish. Its juvenile eel imitation, curly tail, jighead rattle and added scent combine visual, acoustic and scent cues. Choose the size by the depth range and prey profile you want to offer these fish.
Yes. Ocean Flash, Conger, Firebelly, Lemon Back, Skyback Candy and Bubblegum are available in all five size and weight combinations. You can keep your colour choice while changing length, weight, hook size and stated depth range.

The Savage Gear Conger Eel is a sinking, rigged soft lure that imitates a slender juvenile conger eel. Its active curly tail provides movement when dropped, retrieved or jigged, giving inshore and offshore anglers several ways to present the same lure. The supplier names snapper, cod, grouper, halibut, amberjack, barracuda and coalfish as target species.
You can cast and retrieve the Conger Eel or work it with fast or slow jigging movements. The curly tail supplies the action, while a built-in rattle within the jighead adds a loud acoustic signal to attract predators from a distance. Added scent provides another attraction alongside the eel profile and tail movement.
Each lure is supplied with a jighead and one strong, heavy-duty stainless steel hook, so the hook and weighted head are already fitted rather than sold as separate rigging components. The lure contains lead and sinks, allowing it to be lowered to the fishing depth. Hook size changes with lure size as shown below. One lure in the selected colour is included.
The five size and weight combinations offer different lure profiles and supplier-stated depth ranges. The 13 cm version is the smallest and lightest option, with a 10–40 m range and a 5/0 hook. Moving up increases both lure size and weight, with the 22 cm and 23 cm versions described for larger sea predators. Choose by the intended depth and the size of imitation you want to present, rather than colour alone.
| Length | Weight | Stated depth range | Hook size | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 13 cm | 50 g | 10–40 m | 5/0 | | 17 cm | 90 g | 20–80 m | 7/0 | | 19 cm | 120 g | 30–120 m | 7/0 | | 22 cm | 160 g | 40–150 m | 9/0 | | 23 cm | 200 g | 60–180 m | 9/0 |
The 17 cm and 19 cm options sit between the lightest and heaviest versions. The 23 cm lure has the deepest stated range but also the greatest weight. These are supplier-stated ranges, not a fixed running depth for every retrieve. All five sizes are available in Ocean Flash, Conger, Firebelly, Lemon Back, Skyback Candy and Bubblegum, so colour can be chosen independently of size and weight.
