Match the hook size to your softbait body, then choose the weight for its presentation. The family spans sizes 6 to 10/0 and 3 to 30 g, but not every combination is available. With the same lure, lighter heads descend more slowly, while heavier heads help maintain contact in depth or current.
The individual Ball Jig Head versions and the stepped-holder 10/0 bulk versions at 15 g and 20 g have an extra eye below the head. It provides a stinger attachment point for larger softbaits. A stinger eye is not documented for the other versions, so check the variant features if this attachment matters to your rig.
Bulk versions supply 25 jig heads in the chosen size and weight, while individual Ball Jig Head versions supply one. Some specifications occur in both formats, so check the quantity rather than relying only on hook size and weight when ordering replacements.
The family uses bait holders to limit sliding on the shank. Pro Peg Mount is specified on the standard 1/0 to 10/0 bulk versions, while the individual Ball Jig Head versions use stepped lead holders that retain the lure during forceful casts with limited damage. Choose by the holder construction listed for the variant.

The Savage Gear Ball Jighead family consists of round jig heads for active predator fishing with soft plastics. Different hook sizes and head weights let you match the head to your lure and presentation, while the bait holder helps keep the softbait from sliding down the shank. The family includes 25-head packs and individual Ball Jig Head versions with a stinger attachment eye.
The 25-head versions use sharp, forged high-carbon steel wire hooks with nano points and micro barbs. Wire diameter is matched to each hook size to balance strength and penetration. Precision-moulded round heads accommodate a wide selection of soft lures. Three bait-holder designs are used across the range, with Pro Peg Mount specified on the standard bulk versions in sizes 1/0 to 10/0. These holders secure the lure on the shank during fishing.
The individually supplied Ball Jig Head versions have sharp, strong steel hooks and lead heads. Stepped lead bait holders fix the softbait with limited damage and help it stay in place during forceful casts. Their additional eye below the head provides an attachment point for a stinger when fishing larger softbaits. These versions are described for jigging, lift-and-drop retrieves and spinning for zander, pike and other predators. The 10/0, 15 g and 20 g bulk versions with the same stepped-holder construction also have this stinger eye.
Available hook sizes run from 6, 4, 2 and 1 through 1/0 to 8/0 and 10/0. Choose the hook size to suit the softbait body, rather than choosing by weight alone. Smaller hooks suit smaller bodies, while larger hooks accommodate larger softbaits. No fixed lure-length chart is supplied.
Head weights span 3 to 30 g, with availability depending on hook size. For the same lure, lighter heads allow a slower descent, while heavier heads sink faster and help maintain contact in deeper water or stronger current. Select the weight for the presentation you need, then check that the matching hook size is available. The 3/0, 25 g version is specified in Fluorescent Yellow Tiger, so it also offers a documented colour choice.
Bulk versions contain 25 jig heads in the selected specification. Individually supplied Ball Jig Head versions contain one jig head. Check the quantity as some hook-size and weight combinations appear in both formats. Most bulk versions are listed for all water types, while the 3/0, 4/0 and 5/0 versions at 25 g and the stepped-holder 10/0 versions at 15 g and 20 g are listed for freshwater. Use the individual variant details to confirm quantity, holder construction and water type.
