The Savage Gear Alpha SG2 Jerkbait BC (Baitcasting) series delivers targeted control and sensitivity for dedicated jerkbait fishing. Built on 24+30T high modulus carbon blanks, these rods combine stiffness with a forgiving, responsive fast action.
These rods were created specifically for fishing with jerkbaits. The fast action provides the stiffness needed for precise lure animation, while remaining responsive enough to feel even subtle bites. A full rear handle ensures a secure grip and comfortable leverage during long sessions.
The 24+30T high modulus carbon blanks deliver an excellent balance of sensitivity and power. You feel every contact through the rod, yet have plenty of backbone for solid hook sets and confident fish playing without hook pulls or line breaks.
SeaGuide CCS stainless steel guides with SiN rings provide smooth line flow and durability. Double Lock reel seats keep your reel firmly in place. Each rod comes with a Competition Ready-To-Fish rod bag for convenient transport.
The series includes three models covering casting weights from 30 g to 150 g:
