You can jig it, retrieve it steadily with pauses, or troll it from a boat for pike. The paddle tail produces a rocking action and the lure sinks slowly, so pauses let it descend rather than remain suspended.
Choose 12.5 cm for the smaller profile and lower weight, or 17.5 cm for a larger presentation. Perch, Albino and Firetiger weigh 23 or 67 g, while Zander (Walleye) and Lemon Perch weigh 25 or 75 g. Match your tackle to the specific variant's weight.
Both offered sizes come with one red belly treble on a swivel and a listed carbon-steel trace, so a separate hook does not need to be fitted first. The 12.5 cm version has a #4 treble and the 17.5 cm version a #1. The supplier's line-through system applies to the separate 20 cm version, not these sizes. Each pack contains one lure.
Perch, Albino and Firetiger have a listed running depth of 0.5–1.2 m in both sizes, giving you a specified shallow running range. No equivalent depth is supplied for Zander (Walleye) or Lemon Perch, so do not assume the same range for those colours.
Yes, the paddle tail has a rattle slot, allowing you to add clicking sounds to the swimming action. The supplier also lists a recess in front of the anal fin for rattles or pellets. The stated pack contents are one lure, without a separately specified rattle or pellet supply.

The Savage Gear 4D Perch Shad is a pre-rigged soft swimbait for active pike fishing. Its perch-shaped body is based on a 3D scan, with a 4D Photo Chrome skin print for realistic detail. Perch can be an important prey fish for large pike at certain times of year, making this imitation a relevant choice when pike are feeding on them.
The large paddle tail produces a rocking body action. Fish it with a steady retrieve and occasional pauses, jig it, or troll it behind a boat. It is suitable for spinning from the bank as well as boat trolling. The slowly sinking design lets it descend during pauses. A rattle slot in the paddle tail provides a place for a rattle to add clicking sounds. The supplier also describes a recess in front of the anal fin for rattles or pellets.
The 12.5 cm and 17.5 cm sizes come rigged with one red belly treble mounted on a swivel, allowing the hook to turn and making it harder for a pike to shake it free. The 12.5 cm size uses a #4 treble, the 17.5 cm size a #1 treble. A carbon-steel trace is also listed in the supplied rig. These sizes use the belly-treble setup, not the line-through system described for the separate 20 cm version. Each pack contains one lure.
The 12.5 cm version gives a smaller perch profile and lower lure weight. The 17.5 cm version presents a larger profile and requires tackle suited to its higher weight. Perch, Albino and Firetiger weigh 23 g at 12.5 cm and 67 g at 17.5 cm. Zander (Walleye) and Lemon Perch weigh 25 g and 75 g respectively. Choose by the actual listed weight, not length alone.
Perch, Albino, Firetiger, Zander (Walleye) and Lemon Perch are available in both lengths. Perch, Albino and Firetiger contain lead and have a listed running depth of 0.5–1.2 m. No equivalent depth specification is supplied for Zander (Walleye) or Lemon Perch. Those two colour versions are described as scented.
