The Savage Gear 4D Herring Big Shad is a sinking softbait range built around a realistic Atlantic herring profile for cod, halibut and other large saltwater predators. Across the range you get lively action on the retrieve and on the drop, with three size classes to cover different depths and presentation weights.
This lure line imitates one of the key prey fish in Nordic saltwater fishing. The body shape and rocking action are designed to create a convincing fleeing movement that works for jigging as well as trolling.
The 4D Herring Big Shad combines a soft yet durable PVC body with a detailed weighted head, a reinforced tail bridge with internal nylon mesh and strong hooks for powerful fish.
The 22cm 200g versions are the lightest options for fishing around 10-75m. The 25cm 300g versions give a balanced middle step for 10-100m, while the 32cm 560g versions are the largest and heaviest choices for deeper work down to 150m.
The 22cm and 25cm variants are supplied as packs of 2 bodies. The 32cm variants are supplied as 1 body per pack. Each variant is delivered with the corresponding rigged head and hook setup for the chosen size.
