No. It already glides from side to side on a steady retrieve, but short jerks and pauses develop its full action and side flashes. You can retrieve slowly for less active predators or work it faster when fish are active.
The 5 cm model weighs 8 g and is the lightest option, while the 7 cm model weighs 21 g. The supplier highlights the smaller models for perch, trout and asp. For a larger predator presentation, compare the 10 cm model at 46 g with the 12 cm model at 70 g and match your tackle to the chosen lure weight.
No, every variant in this family is Sinking. The 5 cm and 7 cm models are specified at 1.0 m when casting and 0.5 m when trolling. The 12 cm model is specified at 3.0 m and 1.5 m respectively, so it runs deeper than the 5 cm and 7 cm models at their stated depths.
Each pack contains one lure in the selected variant, fitted with Mustad KVD hooks and Rasco split rings. Hook sizes are 10 for 5 cm, 4 for 7 cm, 1/0 for 10 cm and 2/0 for 12 cm, so check the size of your selected lure when comparing its fitted components.
Use a safe container for transport and storage because the sharp hooks can cause serious injury, and keep them out of children's reach. The supplied warning also says the lure may contain lead or cadmium. Wash hands thoroughly after handling, avoid ingestion and contact with food, and dispose of used or damaged hooks safely.

The Salmo Slider is a hard-bodied jerkbait for predator lure fishing. It glides from side to side even on a steady retrieve, while short jerks and pauses bring out its full action and flashing flanks. These Silver Halo variants all sink and cover four sizes for different lure weights and presentations.
Use a slow retrieve for less active predators or quicker, short jerks for active fish. A sequence of short rod movements and stops alternates the left-right glide with side flashes. Its action is easy for beginners to achieve. The supplier highlights waters with deep-bodied forage fish such as white bream and bream, and use for pike and zander. The smaller models also suit perch, trout and asp, with the smallest option offering a lighter presentation.
All four variants have the Silver Halo pattern and Sinking buoyancy. Each pack contains one lure in the selected size.
| Length | Lure weight | Hook size | | --- | --- | --- | | 5 cm | 8 g | 10 | | 7 cm | 21 g | 4 | | 10 cm | 46 g | 1/0 | | 12 cm | 70 g | 2/0 |
The 5 cm option is the lightest choice for perch, trout and asp fishing with smaller lures. The 7 cm version retains a smaller profile but increases lure weight to 21 g. The 10 cm and 12 cm versions provide larger presentations for predator fishing, with a substantial weight increase from 46 g to 70 g that matters when matching your tackle to the lure.
For the 5 cm and 7 cm sinking models, the stated running depths are 1.0 m when casting and 0.5 m when trolling. The 12 cm sinking model is specified at 3.0 m when casting and 1.5 m when trolling, so it runs deeper than the 5 cm and 7 cm models at their stated depths.
The body uses High-Impact Plastic (HIP) and ultrasonic Body Welding (UBW) for impact resistance and body strength. Mustad KVD hooks are fitted for reliable hook-ups, complemented by Rasco split rings made in the USA. Every lure is individually hand tuned and tank tested to check its action before use. Hook sizes vary with lure size as shown above.
The supplied warning states that the lure may contain chemicals such as lead or cadmium and that prolonged exposure can be harmful. Wash hands thoroughly after handling and avoid ingestion or contact with food. Sharp hooks can cause serious injury. Handle them cautiously, check suitability before use, and transport and store them in a safe container out of children's reach. Dispose of used or damaged hooks safely and follow the manufacturer's safety and usage instructions.
