The Salmo Executor Shallow Runner is a floating crankbait for predator fishing in rivers and lakes, including open water and edges. Its traditional baitfish profile and tail-side action work on a steady retrieve. The Shallow Runner (SR) version dives less deeply than the Super Deep Runner version, offering a presentation for fish looking upwards. This family contains SR lures only.
Retrieve the lure at different speeds to vary the presentation. It can also be trolled, with an additional inline weight used to take it deeper. The 12cm version offers the largest baitfish profile in the family and is specifically described for open-water trolling. It is still suitable for casting, rather than being a trolling-only lure.
There are four lengths, with these colour options:
5cm and 7cm: Olive Bleak, Holo Shiner, Holographic Golden Back, Real Hot Perch, Red Wake and Natural Perch.
9cm: Olive Bleak, Holo Shiner, Holographic Golden Back, Real Hot Perch, Red Wake and Natural Perch.
12cm: Holo Shiner, Real Hot Perch, black Shadow, Holographic Golden Back, Red Wake and Natural Perch.
The smaller lengths provide a smaller baitfish presentation, while 12cm offers the larger mouthful described for trolling. Select the named decor separately from size. The Executor range includes natural patterns using True Image Technology and Holographic Feature Technology, as well as fluorescent and metallic patterns. The supplier does not identify every technology for every decor, so a colour name should not be treated as a UV or glow claim.

Weights and numeric running depths are not supplied for the other variants in this selection. Do not use retail package weights as lure weights when choosing a rod. The depth figures are supplied ranges, not separate casting and trolling measurements.
The floating body uses Salmo High Density Space-Aged Foam (HDSF). A through-wire construction, welded at the ends, connects the attachment points through the body. A polycarbonate diving lip controls the dive, and the lure carries Rasco split rings made in the USA. Each hand-crafted Executor is individually hand tuned and tank tested before use. It is made in Poland and has been in the Salmo range since 2004. Salmo states a lifetime warranty for the Executor.
