It is a clip-on weight for trolling that brings lures to the desired depth. The supplier names salmon, sea trout and cod as examples, making it an option for presenting trolling lures at different water depths rather than adding weight directly to the lure.
No separate leader is needed for the weight itself. It clamps anywhere on the line without damaging it, allowing you to choose its attachment position. This describes the weight's mounting method, not the leader requirements of the rest of your fishing setup.
The 10 g and 45 g versions each contain two weights, while the 70 g version contains one. Choose by the amount of added weight you need and the pack quantity. All use the same clip-on system, but the supplier gives no exact running depth for any version.

The Rhino Paravan is a clip-on lead weight for trolling. It brings the lure to the desired depth for fishing at different water depths, including trolling for salmon, sea trout and cod. Its high-visibility colour makes the weight easier to see while trolling.
The weight can be clamped anywhere on the line without damaging it. No separate leader is needed to attach the weight, so you can choose its position on the line rather than fitting it into a dedicated leader arrangement.
The clip-on design allows depth control without the weight restricting the lure's lively action. According to the supplier, even seaweed caught on the weight does not scare fish away, reducing how often trolling rods need to be checked.
Choose from 10 g and 45 g packs containing two weights each, or a 70 g version containing one weight. The 10 g option provides the least added weight, 45 g is the middle option and 70 g provides the most. All share the same clip-on attachment and trolling purpose. No running-depth figures are supplied, so the weight alone does not specify an exact fishing depth.
