Choose 10 cm/13 g for a smaller presentation running at 1.2–1.8 m, or 12 cm/22 g for a larger profile running at 1.2–2.4 m. SXR10 has two #3 hooks, and SXR12 has two #2 hooks. The larger version adds weight and a deeper upper running limit, rather than a different fishing technique.
The lure suspends on the pause. This keeps the baitfish presentation in the water column between twitches, so pauses can be part of the retrieve without relying on a floating or sinking presentation.
You receive one lure in the selected variant with VMC Perma Steel hooks. The hooks are sharp, so use pliers when handling them and store the lure separately in a closed, dry tackle box to prevent tangling, injuries and hook rust.

The Rapala X-Rap Saltwater is a suspending hardbait for spinning and trolling for saltwater predators. Its internal Long Cast mechanism supports casting, while its action changes with your retrieve, letting you switch between a wounded baitfish and a fleeing minnow with the same lure.
During a steady retrieve or trolling, the lure produces Rapala's Wounded Minnow Action. Twitches or sharper pulls create an aggressive, vibrating Slashbait Action with abrupt sideways darts that imitate a panicked small fish. It suspends on the pause, keeping the presentation in the water column between movements rather than immediately rising or sinking.
The 10 cm version weighs 13 g and runs at 1.2–1.8 m. SXR10 variants have two size #3 hooks, model 4524 PS. The 12 cm version weighs 22 g and runs at 1.2–2.4 m. SXR12 variants have two size #2 hooks, model 9625 PS. Choose 10 cm for the smaller, lighter presentation within the shallower depth range, or 12 cm for a larger baitfish profile and a deeper upper running limit. Both versions support spinning and trolling.
