It is designed for large predators, with pike lure fishing in rivers and stillwaters explicitly described. Its body roll and twin-tail action continue at slow retrieve speeds, and the tail flutters as it slowly sinks during pauses, allowing a slower presentation that still moves.
No fixed depth is stated. Swimming depth is variable, and the lure can be rigged in different ways for the intended presentation. Specific rig types and included hooks are not identified, so the supplied data cannot establish a particular hook setup or metre rating.
The colour changes, while all variants remain 18 cm long and 55 g with the same twin-tail construction and action. Most codes also have a supplier colour name, while BLRC is supplied only as a code. Choose by the stated colour, not by an assumed difference in size, weight or recommended water conditions.
Check it before use and do not use it if damaged. Handle fitted hooks carefully and use pliers when attaching or removing the lure from a hook. A separate, securely closed, dry tackle box reduces tangling, accidental hook contact and corrosion. Keep it out of reach of unsupervised children and pets.

The Rapala Soft Olio is a soft plastic twin curly-tail lure for large predators, including pike in rivers and stillwaters. Its side-to-side body roll and Double Tail-Kicking Action remain active during slow retrieves, so you can slow the presentation without losing the lure's movement. Related to the Peto and Otus, the Soft Olio combines rolling action with two curly tails.
The twin tails kick widely while the body rolls. On a pause, the split tail flutters as the lure slowly sinks, keeping the presentation moving between retrieves. The textured soft plastic body with 3D scales increases vibrations in the water.
All SFOL18 variants measure 18 cm and weigh 55 g. The Soft Olio can be rigged in different ways to suit the presentation. Swimming depth is variable rather than a fixed metre rating. The supplied information does not specify individual rig types or included hooks.
These variants differ in colour, not size or weight. The available codes and supplier colour names are BGH Blue Ghost, BLG Blue Glitter, PEL Live Perch, LAR Lava Roach, HLW Halloween, MNW Minnow, RTL Live Rainbow Trout, SMB Smelt On the Beach, SCRR Scaled Roach, S Silver and FT Fire Tiger, plus SNS Sunny Snow and BLRC. BLRC is supplied as a colour code without an expanded name. Choose the colour you want while retaining the same 18 cm, 55 g specification and twin-tail action. No colour-specific water conditions are stated.
Inspect the lure for cracks, damage or loose connections before use and stop using a damaged lure. Handle any fitted sharp hooks with care and use pliers when attaching or removing the lure from a hook. Store tackle in a separate, securely closed box and keep it dry to limit hook corrosion. Keep the lure away from unsupervised children and pets, and keep the casting area clear of people and animals.
