It is a hard-bodied lure for spinning for trout, perch and other small predators, with asp also listed by the supplier. Its 5 cm length and 5.5 g weight give you a small hardbait option for these fish rather than a large predator lure.
Every variant has a stated running depth of 0.9–1.2 m. The SDRSS05 models are fast sinking and track true in heavy current and at high retrieve speeds, so you can use them where maintaining a stable course during the retrieve matters.
The finish changes, but the listed length, weight and running depth remain 5 cm, 5.5 g and 0.9–1.2 m. Matte Black UV and Glassy Gill UV are explicitly UV-labelled options. Choose your preferred finish without changing these core specifications, but do not treat a colour name as a supplied recommendation for particular water or light conditions.
The SDRSS05 specification lists two size #10 VMC® 7548 BN treble hooks with a Black Nickel finish, so those models come with hooks fitted. Gold Shad and Oikawa are supplied without a hook-size specification in the available product information, so do not assume that exact replacement size for them.
Use pliers around the sharp hooks, inspect the lure before fishing and stop using it if damaged. A separate, securely closed and dry tackle box helps prevent tangles, hook injuries and rust. Keep it away from children and pets and check the line connection before casting.

The Rapala Shadow Rap® Solid Shad is a hard-bodied lure for spinning for trout, perch and other small predators. Its elongated shape and balanced weight distribution support long, accurate casts. All 17 colour variants in this range are 5 cm long, weigh 5.5 g and have a stated running depth of 0.9–1.2 m, so choosing a different finish does not change these specifications. The supplier also lists asp among its target species.
The SDRSS05 models sink quickly to reach the target depth and stay in the strike zone during the retrieve. Their hard-kicking swimming action produces strong side flash and tracks true in heavy current and at high retrieve speeds. This makes them useful when a small lure needs to hold its course rather than drift off line. Internal flash foils support the natural and attractor finishes.
The SDRSS05 models combine a durable hard-plastic body with through-wire construction and two size #10 VMC® 7548 BN treble hooks (Black Nickel). They are supplied with their hooks fitted, rather than as unrigged lure bodies.
Available finishes include Live Brown Trout (TRL), Silver Fluorescent Charteuse (SFC), Matte Black UV (MBLU), Gold Shad, Wakasagi (WK), Oikawa, Ayu (AYU), Green Shad (GRS), Perch (P), Yamame (YM), Red Belly Shad (RBS), Live Rainbow Trout (RTL), PEL, SVA, ROL, MTR and Glassy Gill UV (GGIU). Choose by the finish you want, while retaining the same length, weight and stated running depth. The UV-labelled options are Matte Black UV and Glassy Gill UV. No colour-specific water-clarity or light-level recommendation is supplied. Gold Shad and Oikawa are listed without the SDRSS05 model code or a hook-size specification. Where stated, the pack contains one lure in the selected colour, not a colour assortment.
Handle the sharp hooks with pliers and keep the lure away from children and pets. Inspect the body, hooks and connections before use, and do not fish with a damaged lure. Store it in a separate, securely closed tackle box and keep the box dry to reduce hook rust. Check the line connection regularly and keep people and animals clear of the casting area. Use only for fishing and follow local regulations.
