Fish it slowly with short twitches to make it walk and dart. On quicker snaps it can turn very hard, while pauses let the lure hang head-down like a wounded baitfish.

The Rapala Precision Xtreme Mavrik Salt is a saltwater hardbait made for anglers who want accurate long casts, sharp twitch response, and a convincing wounded baitfish look. Its MaxCast system and added tungsten weight help keep the lure stable and effective when wind and chop make presentation harder.
This lure was designed as a saltwater twitchbait with a strong side cut and quick directional changes. Fished slowly with short twitches, it tracks like a fleeing baitfish. With sharper rod movements, it can turn aggressively and show a much wider darting action.
The slow sinking body lets you cover the upper water layers with control. On the pause, the lure hangs head-down to imitate an injured baitfish, which can trigger follows into strikes from sea trout and other coastal predators.
Rapala equips the Mavrik Salt with the MaxCast system and extra tungsten weight. This supports long, accurate casts and helps the lure keep its casting performance in windy coastal conditions.
The body is finished in detailed saltwater colours and fitted with heavy duty split rings plus three corrosion resistant VMC 7548 TI treble hooks. That gives the lure a strong out-of-the-box setup for demanding saltwater use.
