The 7, 9 and 11 cm versions weigh 12, 17 and 24 g and cover stated depths of 2.7–3.3, 3.6–4.2 and 3.9–4.5 m. The 14 cm version weighs 36 g and runs at 4.5–5.4 m. For a larger presentation, choose 18 cm at 70 g and 5.4–6.3 m or 22 cm at 100 g and 5.4–7.5 m. The 22 cm lure reaches deeper than the 18 cm version but also requires tackle suited to its higher weight.
Yes. The line is marketed for saltwater trolling and uses corrosion-resistant stainless hardware and VMC Perma Steel hooks. Corrosion resistance does not replace care, so inspect the hooks and connections before use and keep the storage box dry.
You receive one lure in your selected size and color with VMC Perma Steel hooks. Hook size changes with lure length: #3 at 7 cm, #2 at 9 cm, #1 at 11 cm, 2/0 at 14 cm, 4/0 at 18 cm and 7/0 at 22 cm. Check the chosen variant's hook specification rather than assuming the same hooks across the line.
Use pliers and protective gloves when changing lures because the hooks are sharp. Inspect the lure for cracks, damaged hooks and loose connections before use, and stop using it if damaged. A separate, closed, dry tackle box reduces tangling, injuries and hook corrosion. Keep the lure away from children and pets.

The Rapala Countdown Magnum is a sinking crankbait for trolling in open water, including saltwater. Its controlled sinking rate helps you present the lure to suspended predators or around submerged vegetation and structure. The deep-diving metal lip produces the characteristic Rapala wobble, giving the lure its action while it is towed.
The tough Abachi wood body is combined with corrosion-resistant stainless hardware and VMC Perma Steel hooks for saltwater use. The supplier specifies an Anti-Broach design to resist broaching during trolling. Each lure is hand-tuned and tank-tested, but still needs inspection before use.

Choose the 7, 9 or 11 cm version for a smaller presentation, then use the stated depth range to distinguish them. The 14 cm model offers a larger profile and a deeper range. The 18 and 22 cm models start at the same stated depth, but the 22 cm version reaches further down and is larger and heavier. Match your tackle to the selected lure weight rather than treating all sizes as equivalent. These are sinking lures, not suspending models.
Available finishes include Silver, Silver Blue, Blue Sardine, Sardine, Green Mackerel, Silver Mackerel and Purple Mackerel, alongside Firetiger, Pearl Orange and Gold Fluorescent Red. Hot Pink UV, Red Head UV and Wahoo UV are also offered, as is Red Head. UV means ultraviolet. Color availability varies by size, so select the size and depth first, then choose from the finishes offered for that version. The range gives a choice between baitfish patterns and more conspicuous colors without changing the size-specific specifications.
