It was developed for catfish Fireball rigs and also suits hair-rigged pellets and various natural baits. You can use the same hook pattern for these presentations, choosing the size to suit the bait and rig.
Size 5/0 contains 6 hooks, 7/0 contains 5 and 9/0 contains 4. The construction and intended uses are shared, so choose the hook size your setup needs and account for the different number of hooks per pack.
The short shank reduces leverage and supports stability under load. Together with the thick carbon-steel wire, it makes this a pattern intended for powerful catfish rather than a fine-wire hook.

The Ragot 7264 is a heavy-wire single hook developed for catfish fishing with Fireball rigs. Its extra-large, strong carbon-steel construction is designed for powerful fish, while the short shank reduces leverage during the fight.
The broad, round hook shape is designed to improve hook-up rates compared with trebles. Beyond Fireball systems, the hook can also be used with hair-rigged pellets and various natural baits, so the same pattern covers several catfish bait presentations.
The sharp Needle Point is designed to pierce on the strike, while the out-turned eye connects the hook to your rig. The carbon-steel hook has a Black Nickel coating.
The range contains size 5/0 in packs of 6, size 7/0 in packs of 5 and size 9/0 in packs of 4. Choose the hook size to suit your bait and rig. The 5/0 is the smallest option and gives you the most hooks per pack, the 7/0 sits between the two, and the 9/0 is the largest with the fewest hooks. All three share the same construction and intended uses.
