The smallest variants (9mm/9kg, 13.5mm/18kg) work for light to medium spinning; the larger ones (17mm/35kg, 20mm/50kg) are for pike and heavy bass.
Yes. The einhänger design lets you knot straight to your main line using a Clinch knot or Improved Clinch knot. Many anglers prefer this for maximum sensitivity. Alternatively, tie the snap to a steel or fluorocarbon leader (usually 30–50 cm), then connect the leader to your main line with a swivel.
