It is a freshwater carp main line for ponds, lakes and large rivers. Its three-tone green camouflage makes it less conspicuous underwater, making it suitable for wary carp in heavily fished waters.
All have 1000 m of Mimicry Green line. The options are 0.25 mm/5.2 kg, 0.28 mm/6.2 kg, 0.30 mm/15 lb, 0.33 mm/8.3 kg, 0.35 mm/9.8 kg and 0.40 mm/13.2 kg. Choose the diameter and strength together, balancing a thinner line against the higher advertised strength of the thicker versions.
It is a sinking monofilament with reduced stretch, not a stretch-free line. Increased density helps it settle onto the bottom, so it suits carp setups where the main line should sink rather than float.
Each spool supplies 1000 m in the selected diameter. The number of reels it fills depends on each reel's capacity at that diameter, so check the capacity specification rather than assuming a fixed number of reels.

Prologic Mimicry is a copolymer monofilament main line for freshwater carp fishing in ponds, lakes and large rivers. Its Mimicry Green camouflage combines three shades of green to blend into natural surroundings and make the line less conspicuous underwater. This is particularly useful when fishing for wary carp in heavily fished waters, while the pattern also gives the filled reel spool a distinctive appearance.
The improved copolymer construction increases the strength-to-diameter ratio. Reduced stretch limits how much the line elongates under load, but it is not described as stretch-free. Increased density improves sinking, helping the main line settle onto the bottom rather than remain suspended in the water.
All six variants have the same Mimicry Green colour and a spool length of 1000 m. Diameter and advertised breaking strength distinguish them.
| Diameter | Advertised breaking strength | | :--- | :--- | | 0.25 mm | 5.2 kg | | 0.28 mm | 6.2 kg | | 0.30 mm | 15 lb | | 0.33 mm | 8.3 kg | | 0.35 mm | 9.8 kg | | 0.40 mm | 13.2 kg |
The 0.25 mm and 0.28 mm versions prioritise a smaller diameter, while 0.33 mm and 0.35 mm offer progressively higher advertised strength at a larger diameter. The 0.40 mm version combines the largest diameter with an advertised breaking strength of 13.2 kg. The 0.30 mm version sits between the thinner and thicker options by diameter. Choose using both diameter and strength, since gaining strength also means using a thicker line.
Each variant supplies 1000 m of line in the selected diameter. Check your reel's capacity at that diameter to determine how much line you need.
