The Combat-Classic Shrink is a two-piece freshwater carp rod with a responsive 24T low-resin carbon blank and a smooth through-action. Its balance of power and forgiveness supports casting and playing carp, while line-measuring whippings simplify zig-rig setup.
Whippings at 30 cm and 50 cm from the reel seat give repeatable reference points for measuring line. Discreet orange joint markers help align the sections during assembly. The full-length Japanese shrink tube grip provides a continuous holding surface, paired with a DPS style reel seat and a black anodised butt cap.
Six lightweight Stainless Minima guides, including an anti-frap tip ring, guide the line while keeping guide weight low. A black carbon line clip completes the line-control fittings. The 3lb versions have a 40 mm butt guide, all other versions have a 50 mm butt guide. A butt guide protector and nylon rod sleeve with hook-and-loop fastening are supplied.
The 3 m models offer the shortest transport length, 157 cm. Choose 3lb at 265 g or 3.5lb at 321 g. The 3.6 m models pack to 188 cm and come in 3lb at 404 g, 3.5lb at 442 g or 3.75lb at 458 g. The 3.9 m models pack to 204 cm, with 3.5lb at 482 g or 4lb at 536 g.
