These two-piece freshwater carp rods pair slim, responsive high-modulus carbon blanks with a choice of playing and casting actions. The range shares construction processes and manufacturing standards with the Inspire series.
AR provides an all-round, semi-parabolic playing action. The 3.00 m 3.25 lb AR version has a more forgiving action for small waters and playing powerful fish close to the boat. At 270 g, it is also the lightest option here. The 3.60 m AR models offer 3.00 lb at 325 g or 3.25 lb at 340 g.
XD has a faster, casting-focused action for reaching more distant spots. Choose between 3.60 m with a 3.50 lb test curve at 360 g and 3.90 m with a 3.75 lb test curve at 400 g. These offer a different casting emphasis from the forgiving AR models, with greater rod weight.
The 3.60 m and 3.90 m rods have 50 mm SiC (silicon carbide) performance starter guides for efficient casting. The 3.00 m model is excluded from this specification. Every model has a 16 mm anti-frap tip guide to help reduce line wrapping at the tip. A black-anodised Inspire reel seat and abbreviated Japanese shrink-wrap handles complete the understated carbon finish.
