The C-Series Mono is designed primarily for carp fishing in freshwater. Its combination of strength, abrasion resistance and low stretch makes it well suited for demanding carp-angling situations.
The C-Series Mono is available in four diameter/breaking-strain combinations: 0.31 mm (4.5 kg), 0.33 mm (5.5 kg), 0.37 mm (6.8 kg) and 0.40 mm (8.2 kg). Each is supplied on a quarter-pound bulk spool.
Green is a good choice for weedy, coloured or murky water where it blends with the environment. Clear works well in open or clear-water venues where a less visible line is preferred.
The spool length depends on the diameter: 0.31 mm provides 1325 m, 0.33 mm provides 1160 m, 0.37 mm provides 925 m and 0.40 mm provides 755 m. All are quarter-pound bulk spools, so thinner diameters yield more length.
For smaller carp or open water with few snags, the thinner 0.31 mm or 0.33 mm options offer longer casting range and more line on the spool. For larger fish or fishing near obstacles, the 0.37 mm or 0.40 mm options provide higher breaking strain and more abrasion resistance.
