The Monster X range is a brand-new updated version of Preston's extremely popular Monster rod line, featuring key upgrades such as 2.5mm carbon tips, SEA guides, DPS reel seats, and improved actions. Designed for commercial fisheries and general freshwater angling, these rods deliver forgiving through actions with plenty of power for casting and playing fish.
From compact 7ft venue rods to powerful 11ft carp feeders, each model is optimized for its discipline. The range includes seamless through actions that minimize fish loss and prevent hook pulls, high-grade carbon blanks, and quality Seaguides. Tips are supplied as standard (typically three per rod, ranging from 0.75oz to 2oz).
All rods feature high-grade carbon blanks with flat EVA/cork handles and DPS reel seats. The 2.5mm carbon tips are highly visible and responsive, ideal for bite detection in feeder and waggler fishing. Some models include quivertips as compact interchange components.
Suited to carp, bream, roach, and commercial species via method feeders, pellet wagglers, cage feeders, and open-end tactics. Casting distances range from 25m (compact models) to 40m+ (longer feeders). The through-action design suits both short-range precision and distance work.
