Large 20g has the larger cage and lower stated weight. Medium 40g has the smaller cage and twice that weight. Choose cage size for the amount of feed and weight for your setup and conditions, rather than treating the larger cage as the heavier option.
Hexmesh grips the feed during casting and sinking while the cage structure allows it to wash out at the bottom. You can fine-tune the groundbait mix to adjust release, so the mix remains part of how you control feeding.

The Preston Hexmesh Plastic Cage Feeder is a plastic cage feeder for freshwater feeder fishing, including fishing for carp, tench and roach. Its Hexmesh material grips the feed to retain it during casting and sinking, then allows it to wash out on the bottom. It is also suitable for fine rigs.
The cage design lets you fine-tune your groundbait mix to adjust how it releases. This gives you control over feeding at your chosen spot in both still and flowing freshwater, rather than relying on cage size alone to determine how the feed washes out.
The two versions combine different cage sizes and stated weights. Large 20g provides the larger cage with the lower weight. Medium 40g combines a smaller cage with twice that stated weight. Choose between them according to the amount of feed you want to carry and the weight required for your setup and conditions. Each pack contains one feeder in the selected version.
