The Preston F1 Pellet Pole Rig is a complete pole float rig for commercial fisheries, designed for F1 fishing and carp in cooler months. Based on rigs tied by Preston's consultants in the Des Shipp Slim’s range, it combines an F1 Pellet float, Reflo Power main line and hooklength, a size 16 GPM-B hook and Stotz shot, so you do not need to tie the rig from separate components.
The size 16 hook is matched to 2–6 mm pellet hookbaits. Corn is also suitable, and maggots can be used when you want to get the bait down quickly. Tench and roach are also listed as intended species.
The F1 Pellet float has a medium 1.5 mm hollow bristle and a flexible Niti wire stem. Its Dura side eye is stronger than a standard side eye without changing the float's balance. Stotz shot is arranged in a pattern suited to the rig's intended fishing style, providing a ready-prepared shotting setup for pole fishing. The GPM-B hook is an all-round pattern suitable for a variety of baits, while Reflo Power is used for both main line and hooklength.
