Preston Bayonet Hair Rigs are strong, pre-tied hooklengths for Method, Banjo and pellet feeders. Each combines a sharp, barbed KKH hook with a barbed bait bayonet, so you can spike the bait onto the hair without tying the hooklength yourself. They are intended for freshwater feeder fishing, including carp, tench and roach.
The barbed bayonet allows a variety of baits to be spiked onto the hair. The supplier names mini boilies and soft pellets as examples. Reflo Power line forms the hooklength, while the sharp KKH hook provides the hooking point. Both the hook and bayonet have barbs, so these are not barbless rigs.
The family has two hooklength lengths. Choose 10 cm (4 inches) for a shorter hooklength or 38 cm (15 inches) when your feeder setup calls for a longer one. The length changes the separation between feeder and hookbait, while hook size and line specification distinguish the versions within each length.
