The Preston Absolute Window Feeder (Caged) is a cage feeder for freshwater feeder fishing, including carp, tench and roach. Its weight-forward design helps carry groundbait to distant swims with accurate placement, including in windy conditions. It can be fished like a conventional mesh feeder, with the emphasis on longer-range feeding.
The window opening holds the feed during the cast and releases it in the water, reducing feed loss on the way to the swim. The cage structure controls groundbait release, creating an attracting cloud through the water column. This makes it useful when you want to draw fish into the swim while feeding at distance, including where current conditions change.
The available variants are Small at 20 g, Medium at 30, 45 or 60 g, and Large at 45, 60 or 75 g. Small 20 g is the smallest and lightest option in this family. Medium offers three weights, with 30 g as its lightest option. Large offers three weights, with 75 g as the heaviest option in the family.
At 45 g and 60 g, you can choose either Medium or Large without changing the stated weight. Within Medium or Large, you can change weight while retaining the same size designation. Compare both specifications rather than choosing by weight alone. All versions share the weight-forward design and groundbait-release principle.
