They are intended for lure fishing with soft shads, jigs, creature baits and other softbaits for perch, zander and pike. The design allows a very slow retrieve, so you can work these soft plastics slowly rather than relying on a fast presentation.
Place the hook point against the softbait's back with the bend extending beneath its body. This reduces weed pickup during the retrieve, while a bite compresses the bait and exposes the point. Choose a size that allows this arrangement with your lure, as the hook alone does not provide the weed-shielding effect without the appropriate rigging.
Yes, the hooks can be combined with a hookless lead head to give the softbait freedom of movement. The pack contains only Wide Gap Offset hooks, so you need a separate hookless head if you want this weighted setup.
Sizes #1 and #2 contain 8 hooks each, #1/0 and #2/0 contain 7, #3/0 contains 6, #4/0 contains 5 and #5/0 contains 4. Choose by the fit of the hook to your softbait, then account for the pack quantity when buying spares. Matching lure lengths are not specified.

Predax Wide Gap Offset SB hooks are designed for lure fishing with soft plastics for perch, zander and pike. The offset design lets the point rest against the lure's back, reducing weed pickup when fishing through vegetation. The hooks suit soft shads, jigs, creature baits and other softbaits, and allow a very slow retrieve.
Rig the softbait with the hook point resting on its back and the hook bend extending below the body. This keeps the point shielded during the retrieve. When a fish bites and compresses the bait, the point becomes exposed. The hooks are described as very sharp and strong.
The hooks can also be combined with a hookless lead head. This arrangement gives the softbait freedom of movement for its action. The supplied items are hooks, not complete weighted rigs.
The family offers sizes #1 and #2 with 8 hooks per pack, #1/0 and #2/0 with 7, #3/0 with 6, #4/0 with 5 and #5/0 with 4. Choose the hook size to suit your softbait so the point can sit on its back and the bend can extend beneath it. The larger aught sizes come in progressively smaller packs. No matching lure lengths are specified, so check the fit of the hook to the bait rather than selecting by pack quantity alone.
