Use it as a free-sliding weight on a Texas rig, threaded onto the main line before a bead and hook. It is separate from the hook rather than fixed like a jig head, so the softbait can move independently of the weight.
The 5, 7, 10, 12 and 14 g packs each contain six weights, the 18 g pack contains five, and the 20 and 25 g packs each contain four. The six-piece assortment lists 5, 7, 10, 12, 14 and 18 g. Choose a single-weight pack for repeated use of one weight or the assortment for several weighting options.
The conical shape helps the weight slide over stony and obstructed ground with fewer snags. The supplier names rocky edges, groynes and areas with current for bottom presentation with softbaits. It reduces snagging but does not eliminate it.
Yes, the supplier specifies saltwater use and names perch, pike and zander as target fish. Rinse the weights with fresh water after use and store them dry, so saltwater fishing also requires this simple care step.

The Pilkmaxx Mx Texas Blei is a lead bullet weight for Texas rigs used with softbaits, including soft shads. Its conical shape helps it slide over stony or obstructed ground with fewer snags, supporting controlled bottom presentation for perch, pike and zander. The supplier specifies saltwater use, including jigging along rocky edges, groynes and areas with current.
Thread the weight loosely onto the main line, followed by a bead and hook. Unlike a jig head, the weight is not fixed to the hook and can slide independently, allowing the softbait to move naturally. The bullet shape reduces snagging in structured areas, but does not make the rig snag-proof. The supplier mentions fluorocarbon leaders for perch and zander, and steel-coated or fluorocarbon leaders for pike, without specifying diameters or bite resistance.
Choose 5 or 7 g for the lightest weighting in the range, 10, 12 or 14 g for intermediate weighting, or 18, 20 or 25 g when more weight is needed. Each step changes the load on the rig, while the bullet shape and Texas-rig setup remain the same. Packs of 5, 7, 10, 12 and 14 g contain six weights, the 18 g pack contains five, and the 20 and 25 g packs contain four. A separate six-piece assortment lists 5, 7, 10, 12, 14 and 18 g, giving you several weights to choose from rather than a single-weight pack.
Rinse the weights with fresh water after fishing in saltwater and store them dry.
