These saltwater beachcasting rods are part of the PENN Tidal Surfcasting Concept. Their sliding reel seats accommodate either fixed-spool or multiplier reels, so you can choose your preferred reel type without changing rod families.
The slim, responsive blanks combine high-modulus 30/40T carbon with Carbon X-Wrap. The wrap increases strength and reduces twisting for improved casting accuracy and control. Both models have a Fast action and Medium Heavy power. The full-length shrink-tube grip includes a Japanese X-Shrink casting grip for secure handling, including with wet hands.
Ten saltwater-resistant Fuji O guides, including the tip guide, use deep-pressed frames for secure line guidance and reduced tangling. Glow-in-the-dark paint on the tip makes bites easier to see in low light.
