The SQUADRON IV Travel Boat sea fishing rods combine a four-piece design with a 64 cm transport length for saltwater trips. All three versions measure 2.10 m and suit wreck drifting with lures and general bottom fishing for cod, ling and pollock. The heavier versions also suit halibut fishing in Norway.
The 12-20lb version weighs 307 g and is the lightest option. The 20-30lb version weighs 317 g and offers the middle line class. The 30-50lb version weighs 328 g and provides the highest line class for heavier fishing, including halibut. Increasing line class adds weight, but length, section count and transport size remain unchanged. These are line ratings, not casting weights.
Each slim, powerful blank uses high-modulus 24T Carbon and has a Fast action. Eight one-piece stainless-steel PENN Dura-Guides, including the tip, provide saltwater-resistant line guidance for both monofilament and braid. A DPS Type reel seat secures the reel.
The four-piece layout retains the handle lengths and handle and reel-seat positions of the regular boat rods. Ergonomically shaped high-density EVA grips are easy to clean after handling bait or fish. A graphite gimbal with a cover provides the butt fitting. All versions are black and supplied in a cloth bag.
