The 260 weighs 359 g and is described for perch, zander and light saltwater fishing. The 360 weighs 373 g and suits medium tackle. The 460 and 560 offer 6.3 and 6.8 kg maximum drag for medium to larger fish. The 762 g 760 reaches 9 kg and is described for heavy spinning, pirking and bottom fishing. Compare weight, line capacity and drag together, because the larger 360 has less stated drag than the 260.
Both line types have supplier-listed capacities, with identical figures for each size. For example, the 460 holds 200 m of 0.35 mm line and the 560 holds 285 m at that diameter. No size is pre-spooled, so choose the capacity that matches your line diameter and spool the reel before use.
The handle can be mounted on the right or left on every size, so you can choose your preferred winding hand. Each reel has a machined, anodized aluminum spool, but no spare spool is supplied. Changing line setups therefore cannot rely on an included second spool.
Oversized HT-100 carbon front-drag washers provide smooth braking under heavy loads, while the full metal body and triple-supported stainless steel main shaft support alignment. The Techno-balanced rotor and 5+1 stainless steel bearings support smooth retrieval. These features are shared by all sizes, so select the model by its stated drag, weight and capacity rather than a different drag system.

The PENN Slammer Classic spinning reels update the original Slammer design for saltwater fishing, with freshwater predator applications also described by the supplier. A full metal body and sideplates support the gearing under load. The five sizes, 260, 360, 460, 560 and 760, share oversized HT-100 carbon front-drag washers for smooth braking during demanding fights.
A machine-cut alloy main gear works with an oversized, triple-supported stainless steel main shaft to maintain strength and alignment. The updated gear mounting improves support compared with the previous design. The machined, anodized aluminum spool offers corrosion resistance, while the Techno-balanced rotor and 5+1 shielded stainless steel bearing arrangement support smooth retrieves.
The Penn Leveline wrap system lays line evenly on the spool. The improved bail design supports reliable line management during casting and retrieval. Instant Anti-Reverse prevents backward rotation, and the handle can be fitted on either side for right- or left-handed winding.
| Size | Weight | Gear ratio | Retrieve per turn | Maximum drag | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 260 | 359 g | 5.1:1 | 64 cm | 4.9 kg | | 360 | 373 g | 5.1:1 | 58 cm | 4.5 kg | | 460 | 547 g | 4.6:1 | 68 cm | 6.3 kg | | 560 | 577 g | 4.6:1 | 64 cm | 6.8 kg | | 760 | 762 g | 4.7:1 | 96 cm | 9 kg |
The compact 260 is described for perch, zander and light saltwater fishing. The 360 suits medium tackle in coastal and inland waters and holds more line at comparable diameters than the 260, at a slightly higher weight. Its stated maximum drag and retrieve are lower, so a larger size does not automatically mean more braking force or a faster retrieve.
The 460 is intended for medium to larger fish, including active freshwater fishing and saltwater fishing from shore. It increases drag capacity over the smaller models but weighs substantially more. The 560 is described for larger freshwater and sea fish, including coastal use and stronger currents. It offers more capacity at shared line diameters and slightly more drag than the 460, with extra weight and a shorter stated retrieve.
The 760 is the largest and heaviest model, with the highest drag capacity and longest retrieve per turn. The supplier describes heavy spinning, pirking and bottom fishing for cod, halibut and large catfish. Choose it when its greater capacity and braking force matter more than low reel weight.
The supplier states the same capacities for monofilament and braid. Each pair below gives line length in metres followed by diameter in millimetres. Match the capacity to your chosen line rather than relying on size alone.
| Size | Capacity, m/mm | | --- | --- | | 260 | 265/0.23, 175/0.28, 165/0.29 | | 360 | 265/0.28, 245/0.29, 170/0.35 | | 460 | 295/0.29, 200/0.35, 170/0.38 | | 560 | 285/0.35, 245/0.38, 160/0.46 | | 760 | 310/0.46, 285/0.49, 230/0.54 |
All sizes come in Black Gold, boxed and without pre-spooled line or a spare spool. You will need to spool your chosen line before fishing, and an additional spool is not included for changing line setups.
