The Overseas XT II Halibut sea fishing rods are designed for halibut fishing from a boat in destinations such as Norway. A slightly softer tip than on conventional boat rods helps detect bites, while the powerful backbone provides the strength to lift large halibut from depth. Both versions have a fast action.
Both rods are 2.1 m long and have three sections. The 20–30 lb version has Heavy power and weighs 355 g. The high-modulus 24T + 30T Carbon blank uses X-wrap carbon technology. Ten Fuji Alconite guides, including the tip, have stainless steel frames intended for repeated saltwater use. Both versions have a Fuji DPS reel seat and an aluminum gimbal butt.
The ergonomically shaped, high-density EVA handle provides a firm grip during long sessions and demanding fights, including in freezing temperatures.
