Choose by line capacity, maximum drag and weight. The 30 offers 13.6 kg drag at 1588–1590 g, the 50 offers 20.4 kg at 1899–1900 g, and the 80 offers 29.4 kg at 3203 g. At 0.76 mm mono, the 50 holds 710 m and the 80 holds 1435 m, so the 80 adds line reserve but also considerable weight.
Quick-Shift II™ gives a higher gear for faster winding and a lower gear for winding under load. Dura-Drag™ provides smooth startup even at extreme settings, while the Versa-Strike adjustable strike stop lets you set the lever's strike position. Gear ratios vary by size, so compare both ratios when choosing a reel.
Every listed variant has the handle on the right. Choose this family if you want to wind with your right hand, a left-hand version is not included in this selection.
No. All variants are supplied unspooled with an aluminum spool and no spare spool. The supplier gives capacities for both monofilament and braid, so choose the line type and diameter to suit your setup and load it before use.

The PENN International® VISW family comprises right-hand conventional reels in the International VI series for big-game sea fishing. The Dura-Drag™ lever-drag system starts smoothly and reduces hesitation even at extreme drag settings, helping maintain consistent pressure during demanding fights with large saltwater fish.
Quick-Shift II™ provides two gear ratios, giving you a faster retrieve and a lower gear for winding under load. The Versa-Strike adjustable strike stop lets you set the strike position on the drag lever. A double-dog ratchet anti-reverse helps prevent backward rotation, and the supplier lists the anti-reverse as Multi-Stop. Every version has five bearings.
The body and sideplates are precision-machined and anodized from high-strength, lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum. Stainless steel main and pinion gears provide strength in the drivetrain. These reels are designed and manufactured in the USA from domestic and imported components, with machining in Philadelphia.
The aluminum spool has line-capacity rings to help judge the amount of line remaining. All versions have a right-side handle, arrive without line and include no spare spool. Choose and load your own monofilament or braid before fishing.
Each size is available in Gold or Silver. The larger sizes provide higher maximum drag and greater capacity at comparable line diameters, at the cost of more reel weight. The 30 is the lightest option, the 50 adds drag and line reserve, and the 80 provides the highest drag and capacity in this family. The supplier explicitly describes the 30 Gold and 80 Gold for tuna and marlin fishing.
