The PENN Battalion Solid Jigging sea fishing rods are designed for saltwater jigging with a spinning reel. Their slim Solid Spiral Armor carbon blanks use reinforced spiral-shaped fibres to combine strength with sensitivity, helping you control the jig while retaining a strong backbone under load.
Both versions are 1.83 m long with a Moderate Fast action. The 200 g version weighs 197 g and suits the lower lure rating. The 300 g version accommodates heavier jigs and weighs 206 g, a 9 g increase. Choose according to the jig weight you need rather than rod length, which is identical.
Five guides including the tip use Fuji K Alconite rings and Fuji stainless steel frames. Their reversed mounting reduces the risk of line tangles while jigging. A DPS Type reel seat holds the reel, and the split grip uses High Grade EVA for comfortable handling, including in wet conditions.
