Choose the 4000 for its lower 264 g weight and 85 cm retrieve per turn. The 5000 weighs 286 g, retrieves 79 cm and increases maximum drag from 8 kg to 9 kg. Capacity is 185 m at 0.30 mm for the 4000 and 170 m at 0.35 mm for the 5000, so compare line diameter as well as length.
The three round graphite clips on the aluminium spool let you clip the line at a chosen casting distance. This allows subsequent casts to reach the same distance, helping you keep the feeder on an established feeding spot.
The supplier recommends 0.25–0.35 mm monofilament and also describes braided line as an option. For the 4000, braid with a monofilament shock leader is listed. The 5000 is described with medium to heavy feeder rods rated around 60–120 g. Check the reel's stated capacity and your rod and rig requirements before choosing the setup.
Clean it with a soft cloth and let it dry before storing it in a dry place, especially after saltwater use. The corrosion-resistant frame, side plate and rotor and CFR airflow help manage damp conditions, but regular cleaning and manufacturer-directed maintenance remain part of its care.

The Okuma MYTH FEEDER is a feeder reel designed for anglers starting out with feeder baskets, targeting carp, tench and barbel. Three round graphite line clips on the aluminium spool let you set a casting distance and return to the same feeding spot. Both sizes are suited to feeder fishing on rivers and canals.
Fast Progressive Drag (FPD) combines a fast, progressive drag with a Japanese multi-disc oiled-felt system for controlled line release while playing fish. The machined aluminium handle screws directly into the reel for a stable connection under load. Five ball bearings and one roller bearing support smooth winding, while Quick-Set anti-reverse prevents backward handle rotation. A precision-machined brass pinion transmits the handle's movement.
The computer-balanced Rotor Equalizing System (RESII) reduces rotor vibration during winding. Cyclonic Flow Rotor (CFR) technology increases airflow to help keep excess moisture away. The frame, side plate and rotor are corrosion-resistant, supporting regular use in damp conditions.
Both models have a 5.0:1 gear ratio, the same clip arrangement and the same drag and rotor features. Their practical differences are weight, maximum drag, retrieve and line capacity.

Choose the 4000 for lower reel weight and more line retrieved per turn. The 5000 offers a higher maximum drag and a stated capacity for thicker line, at a weight increase of 22 g and a shorter retrieve per turn. The capacities use different line diameters, so their metre figures are not a like-for-like comparison.
