Choose the 3000HA for the lightest setup: it weighs 243 g, retrieves 88 cm per turn and has a 6 kg maximum drag. The 4000XA weighs 283 g and increases those figures to 99 cm and 9 kg. The 5000XA weighs 286 g, retrieves 105 cm per turn and also has a 9 kg drag limit. Compare these differences with your rod and line needs, rather than expecting extra drag from the 5000XA over the 4000XA.
The family is designed for saltwater spinning and jigging from the coast, piers and boats. The 3000HA is described for light to medium sea fishing, including sea bass, garfish and mackerel. The 4000XA adds documented cod pirking, while the 5000XA is also described for surf fishing and sea float rigs. All three have documented coastal sea-trout applications, so select the weight, retrieve and capacity that fit your particular setup.
The 3000HA holds 200 m of 0.25 mm line, the 4000XA holds 185 m of 0.30 mm line and the 5000XA holds 170 m of 0.35 mm line. The stated lengths use different diameters, so the shorter figure for the 5000XA does not mean less capacity for the same line. Use the rating closest to your intended line diameter when comparing models.
Both have a 6.2:1 gear ratio, but their specified retrieves are 99 cm and 105 cm per handle turn. Gear ratio alone does not specify the length of line retrieved. If line pickup matters for your lure fishing, compare the per-turn figure: the 5000XA retrieves 6 cm more per turn at only 3 g more weight.

The Okuma CEYMAR SW-X is a family of saltwater spinning reels for fishing from the coast, piers and boats. A corrosion-resistant graphite body and high-performance bearings (HPB) support smooth operation in marine conditions. The three models differ in weight, retrieve, maximum drag and line capacity, so you can match the reel to your fishing method and line.
The machined aluminium screw-in handle engages directly with the gears to reduce handle play. The HDG+ main gear, machine-cut brass pinion and gear stabilisation system work with Flite Drive™ to improve gear stability and smoothness when retrieving lures. The EVA knob provides the saltwater-specific grip.
The EFR-II Even-Flow line roller has a DLC coating for controlled line passage during retrieval. All three models feature Cyclonic Flow Rotor (CFR) technology, a heavy-duty solid aluminium bail and a lightweight machined aluminium spool. Quick-Set anti-reverse prevents backward handle rotation, while a rotor brake complements the reel's handling features.
Seven HPB bearings and one roller bearing (7HPB+1RB) provide smooth running and corrosion resistance. Hydro Block O-ring seals at the spool and both sides of the handle protect against water ingress. The multi-disc carbon-fibre drag also has a Hydro Block seal. Maximum drag is 6 kg on the 3000HA and 9 kg on the 4000XA and 5000XA, giving the two larger models a higher drag limit.

It combines a faster retrieve and higher drag limit than the 3000HA with coastal or boat spinning for sea bass and mackerel, light jigging, cod pirking and coastal sea-trout fishing. The supplier describes pairing it with light to medium-heavy sea spinning rods, typically rated around 10–40 g.
5000XA 6.2:1: 286 g, 105 cm per turn, 9 kg maximum drag and capacity for 170 m of 0.35 mm line. It retrieves more line per turn than the 4000XA at the same gear ratio and weighs only 3 g more. Its capacity rating uses thicker line. Supported applications include coastal spinning, jigging, surf fishing and sea float rigs from shore, pier or boat for cod, mackerel, sea bass and sea trout, with medium to heavy sea rods.
The capacity figures refer to different line diameters, not directly comparable lengths of the same line. Match the line, rod and fishing method before choosing by reel size alone.
Clean the reel regularly, especially after saltwater use, with a soft cloth and suitable reel oil where needed. Follow the manufacturer's maintenance instructions and store it dry. Before each trip, check the drag, handle, spool and line guide, and ensure the reel is firmly secured to the rod. The seals do not replace regular cleaning and maintenance.
