Yes, the supplied uses support both mono and braid. Monofilament backing is specified for Azaki-20 and Azaki-40 to prevent braid slipping on the metal spool. The listed diameter/length capacities are not a guarantee of identical braid capacity, so check your chosen line's specifications and avoid overfilling.

Azaki-20 is the lightest option for perch and trout with small plugs or softbaits in freshwater. Its front drag reaches 5 kg. Azaki-30 adds line capacity and 7 kg maximum drag at 216 g, suiting light to medium perch and trout setups and river bottom fishing for bream. Coastal use is also described for this model.
Azaki-40 suits pike, zander and perch spinning, including jigging with softbaits and trolling with plugs. Its 85 cm retrieve is faster than the 79 cm of Azaki-45 despite the same gear ratio. For Azaki-40, the supplied setup guidance describes medium-fast to fast spinning rods rated 10–40 g, with lengths of 2.40–2.70 m for zander jigging or pike spinning.
