Yes. All models feature stainless steel ball bearings, corrosion-resistant frames and rotors, and Okuma's Cyclonic Flow Rotor technology that minimizes salt spray and water intrusion. Rinse with fresh water after saltwater outings to maximize lifespan.
The multi-disc oiled felt drag delivers smooth, consistent pressure from startup to maximum. Japanese engineering ensures repeatability: set your preferred drag once, and it stays there. The system resists corrosion and performs reliably in salt and fresh water alike.
All Acuador reels come with 3 ball bearings plus 1 roller bearing (3+1), Quick-Set anti-reverse, and a precision-machined brass pinion. This proven platform scales reliably across the size range while keeping costs manageable.
2500: 0.25mm/165m. 3000: 0.25mm/200m. 4000: 0.30mm/180m. 6000: 0.35mm/220m. 8000: 0.45mm/170m. Choose based on your target species and the diameter line you prefer—lighter for trout, heavier for pike and saltwater applications.
The 2500 is the lightest at 237g and smallest in diameter, making it ideal for lightweight travel rigs and backpack fishing. The 3000 (also light) and 4000 (moderately compact) are practical for trips where you want a bit more drag capacity without bulk.
Start with the 2500 (0.25mm line) for light trout and smallmouth spinning. Choose the 3000 for balanced freshwater work. Jump to 4000 (0.30mm) for pike and larger species. The 6000 and 8000 (0.35–0.45mm line) excel in saltwater and heavy freshwater applications where drag and line capacity matter most.
The 4.5:1 ratio (6000, 8000) retrieves less line per turn but with maximum leverage, ideal for heavy drag and big fish. The 5.0:1 ratio (2500–4000) balances speed and power, winning for most freshwater and moderate saltwater fishing where quicker recovery helps stay connected.

The Okuma Acuador spinning reel series brings affordable excellence to freshwater and saltwater anglers. Built on corrosion-resistant construction with Okuma's Cyclonic Flow Rotor (CFR) technology, these reels minimize water intrusion and corrosion while delivering reliable performance across five carefully-sized models.
Each Acuador features a multi-disc oiled felt drag system, capable of outputs ranging from 7 kg on the smallest models to 14 kg on the larger sizes. Japanese engineering meets practical durability.
Stainless steel ball bearings (3+1) and a Quick-Set anti-reverse bearing give you dependable sensitivity and security in any environment. The frame, side plates, and rotor resist corrosion from salt and hard use.
Each reel benefits from a precision-machined brass pinion gear and precision-balanced rotor (RESII system). A stable metal handle and either two-tone or standard anodized aluminum spool complete the dependable foundation for spinning success.
