Size 3–5 is intended for roach, silver bream and other silverfish. Sizes 4–6 through 14–16 suit coarse fishing with pole float rigs, while 16–18, 18–20 and 20–22 were developed for carp. Choose by the rating and intended use, not colour alone.
It is a hybrid between solid and hollow elastic. It provides high stretch and hollow-elastic benefits without flattening or air bubbles, while its smooth finish helps prevent sticking inside the pole during the fight.
No. Red, yellow, orange and green each appear at different ratings. For example, orange is used for 6–8 at 1.2 mm, 12–14 at 1.8 mm and 20–22 at 2.6 mm, so check the size rating and diameter before choosing.
Every version supplies 3 m of elastic in the selected size and colour. The supplied length stays the same when you change rating, so the choice concerns the elastic specification rather than the amount supplied.
Yes. Slik is designed to work across all temperatures, so its intended use is not restricted to one season. No numerical temperature limits are specified.

Matrix Slik Hybrid Elastic is a pole elastic for coarse fishing, supplied in 3 m lengths. Its hybrid construction combines solid and hollow elastic characteristics with high stretch to cushion a fish's runs. The range includes versions for silverfish and versions developed for carp.
The elastic offers the benefits of hollow elastic without flattening or air bubbles. Its very smooth, non-stick finish helps it move without sticking inside the pole, allowing the stretch to work during the fight. Manufactured exclusively for Matrix in Italy, Slik is durable and long-lasting and is designed to work across all temperatures.
All ten versions contain 3 m of elastic. Size ratings and diameters distinguish the options, while colours repeat across the range, so colour alone does not identify a size.
The red size 3–5 version is intended for roach, silver bream and other silverfish on the pole. The remaining options are:
| Size rating | Diameter | Colour | Supported use | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | 4–6 | 1.0 mm | Yellow | Coarse fishing with pole float rigs | | 6–8 | 1.2 mm | Orange | Coarse fishing with pole float rigs | | 8–10 | 1.4 mm | Green | Coarse fishing with pole float rigs | | 10–12 | 1.6 mm | Red | Coarse fishing with pole float rigs | | 12–14 | 1.8 mm | Orange | Coarse fishing with pole float rigs | | 14–16 | 2.0 mm | Yellow | Coarse fishing with pole float rigs | | 16–18 | 2.2 mm | Green | Carp fishing with a pole | | 18–20 | 2.4 mm | Red | Carp fishing with a pole | | 20–22 | 2.6 mm | Orange | Carp fishing with a pole |
The carp versions use their stretch to help play and land hard-fighting carp. Choose the stated rating and diameter for your pole setup rather than treating the versions as interchangeable. No breaking strain or hooklength-strength pairing is specified.
You receive 3 m of elastic in the selected size and colour.
