They are designed for straight lead or pellet waggler fishing for F1s and carp. The medium Matrix bait band holds pellets or dumbell boilies, so choose this range for a banded hair presentation with either of those setups.
Size 16 combines 0.165mm line with a 2.4kg rating, size 14 has 0.18mm line rated at 2.9kg, and size 12 has 0.20mm line rated at 3.6kg. All are 45cm long with the same hook pattern and bait band, so your choice changes hook size, line diameter and stated strength, not the intended fishing method.
Yes, the MXC-3 hooks are barbless and PTFE-coated. Their out-turned eye is designed to enhance hair rig presentation, while the bait band secures the pellet or dumbell boilie on the hair rather than directly on the hook.
A pack contains eight ready-tied hooklengths in your selected size, each made from Power Micron monofilament. They are tied to 45cm (18 inches) and fit Matrix EVA storage cases, allowing you to keep spare hooklengths securely stored for later use.

Matrix MXC-3 Barbless Bait Band Rigs are 45cm hooklengths for straight lead or pellet waggler fishing for F1s and carp. Each has a medium-sized, durable Matrix bait band for pellets or dumbell boilies, giving you a tied hair presentation without having to tie the hooklength yourself.
The barbless MXC-3 hooks have a PTFE coating and an out-turned eye designed to enhance hair rig presentation. The hooklengths are tied from Power Micron monofilament to 45cm (18 inches), providing the longer hooklength format intended for these lead and waggler setups.
All three versions share the same length, hook pattern and bait band. Size 16 uses 0.165mm line rated at 2.4kg, size 14 uses 0.18mm line rated at 2.9kg, and size 12 uses 0.20mm line rated at 3.6kg. Size 16 offers the smallest hook and finest line in the range, size 14 sits between the two, and size 12 pairs the largest hook with the thickest line and highest stated strength. Choose the hook size for your bait presentation and the line diameter and strength for your setup, rather than expecting a different rig length or fishing method between variants.
Each pack contains eight tied hooklengths in the selected size. Their 45cm length is compatible with Matrix EVA storage cases, so they can be stored securely between sessions.
