The 3000 spools fit the Matrix Ethos XR 3000 reel, and the 3500 spools fit the Ethos XR 3500 reel. Match the size to your reel before choosing between monofilament and braid versions. These products are spare spools, not complete reels.
The Spool versions are developed for monofilament. The shallow Braid Spool versions are designed for braided main line without backing. Choose the spool type for your line, then check its stated capacity at the given diameter.
For mono, the 3000 holds 150 m at 0.26 mm and weighs 57 g, while the 3500 holds 180 m at 0.26 mm and weighs 64 g. For braid, the 3000 holds 150 m at 0.10 mm and weighs 59 g, while the 3500 holds 150 m at 0.12 mm and weighs 66 g. The larger mono spool adds line length at the same diameter, whereas the braid capacities specify the same length at different diameters. Reel compatibility still determines the size you need.
Every version has a reinforced line clip on its aluminium spool. It lets you set a casting-distance reference, helping you repeat casts to the same distance when feeder fishing.
