The Screaming Subfloat is a small buoyant chamber that lifts the rig slightly off the riverbed. This helps it fish in the critical zone above weeds and debris, improving bait presentation and catch rates in thick cover.
Size 6/0 (20g buoyancy) suits smaller catfish and mixed species fishing. Size 8/0 (40g) is the all-rounder for general waller work. Size 10/0 (60g) targets larger catfish and offers better hook hold in hard-fighting fish. Choose based on your bait size and target fish weight.
Each Screaming Profi rig comes pre-assembled with a 1.00mm Ultra-soft Mono Leader and is designed to fish as-is. If you need to modify the rig, maintain the same diameter to preserve the intended balance and buoyancy characteristics.
Worms and squid strips are the primary baits for this rig—the Screaming Subfloat design is optimized for their presentation in moving water. Earthworms, brandlings, and frozen squid all work well. Mount bait firmly to withstand current and provide a natural appearance on the bottom.
