They are designed for stationary catfish fishing from the bank in medium to large rivers, particularly buoy and subfloat rigs at distance. The powerful blank and rod length provide leverage for fighting fish and tensioning these rigs. The series is also suitable for pellet fishing, so the same rod can cover these bait-fishing methods.
Choose among 2.7, 2.95, 3.15 and 3.4 m to suit your bank position and rig placement. All have a 100–250 g rating, Heavy power and Medium Fast action, so length rather than casting weight separates them. Longer versions provide more leverage but take up more transport space. The 2.7 m version is the shortest and packs down to 141 cm.
All four rods have two sections. Their transport lengths are 141 cm for 2.7 m, 153 cm for 2.95 m, 163 cm for 3.15 m and 175 cm for 3.4 m. Check your available carrying and storage space against the packed length of the version you choose.
Each uses a heavy-duty Jinke DPS-H22-2222 reel seat in the size 22 DPS-H style, designed for large reels with high line capacity. Seaguide guides complete the setup, with seven including the tip on 2.7 and 2.95 m rods and eight on 3.15 and 3.4 m rods. The reel seat supports the large-reel setups needed for distance fishing.
The full black EVA handle has a fighter grip and a shrink-tube-covered handle section. The covering gives a smooth, non-slip surface that is easy to clean after fishing, while the fighter grip supports handling during the fight. The rod has a rubber butt.

The Madcat Black Deluxe is a freshwater catfish rod series for stationary bank fishing in medium to large rivers. Designed for buoy and subfloat rigs at distance, it combines a powerful 24T carbon blank with lengths from 2.7 to 3.4 m to provide leverage when playing fish. The series is also suitable for pellet fishing.
All four versions have a 100–250 g casting rating, Heavy power and a Medium Fast action. The sensitive yet powerful blank shows cautious bites while providing the strength needed for large catfish in flowing water and for tensioning buoy or subfloat rigs. Length is the main choice within the range, not a different casting rating.
The heavy-duty Jinke DPS-H22-2222 reel seat, a size 22 DPS-H-style design, accommodates large reels with high line capacity for fishing at distance. Heavy-duty Seaguide guides carry the line, with seven guides including the tip on the 2.7 and 2.95 m versions and eight on the 3.15 and 3.4 m versions.
A full black EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) grip and a practical fighter grip support handling during the fight. Shrink tubing covers the handle section for a smooth, easy-to-clean, non-slip surface. The rod butt is rubber.
Every version has two sections. The 2.7 m rod is the shortest option, weighs 415 g and packs down to 141 cm. The 2.95 m version adds length and has a transport length of 153 cm. The 3.15 m rod weighs 495 g and packs down to 163 cm. At 3.4 m, the longest version provides the most length for leverage, weighs 535 g and requires 175 cm of transport space.
Choose the length to suit your bank position and rig placement. The longer versions offer more leverage but need more carrying and storage space. The 2.7 m version gives the shortest packed length, while 2.95 and 3.15 m provide intermediate choices. All retain the same buoy, subfloat and pellet-fishing applications.
