It is designed for spinning and jigging with dead baitfish for catfish. The weighted system secures the natural bait for active presentation, so choose it when you want to work a dead baitfish using these techniques.
Insert the lead spike through the mouth into the belly, press the safety pin into the underside and use the copper wire to fix the fish to the rig. All three components help secure the bait for spinning and jigging.
Choose from 60 g at 8 cm with a 2/0 treble, 100 g at 11 cm with a 3/0 treble, or 140 g at 12.5 cm with a 4/0 treble. The 60 g system is the lightest and shortest, the 100 g version is intermediate, and the 140 g system is the heaviest and longest. Weight, length and hook size increase together, so select the complete combination you need.
The copper wire and treble hook are coated to reduce the electromagnetic field that can scare catfish. Both the fixing wire and the hook therefore have a coating intended to reduce this potential disturbance during bait presentation.
The pack contains one baitfish system in the selected weight, length and hook size. The three versions are alternatives, not an assortment, so select the specification combination you want when ordering.

The Madcat A-Static Spin & Jig System is a weighted baitfish rig developed for spinning and jigging with dead baitfish for catfish. A lead spike, safety pin and copper wire secure the bait to the rig for active presentation. Each system has a strong, sharp treble hook.
Insert the lead spike through the dead baitfish's mouth into its belly, then press the safety pin into the underside of the fish. Use the copper wire to fix the baitfish to the rig. These fixing components hold the bait in place while you work it by spinning or jigging.
The copper wire and treble hook are coated to reduce the electromagnetic field that can scare catfish. This is intended to reduce a potential disturbance from the rig during bait presentation.
The three versions differ in weight, system length and hook size. The 60 g version is 8 cm long with a 2/0 treble, making it the lightest and shortest option. The 100 g version is 11 cm long with a 3/0 treble and sits between the other two. The 140 g version is 12.5 cm long with a 4/0 treble, giving you the greatest weight, longest system and largest hook in this family. Moving to a heavier version also means choosing a longer system and a larger hook, so compare all three specifications rather than weight alone.
You receive one baitfish system in the selected variant.
