They are single hooks designed for soft lures when fishing for catfish in freshwater. Two spikes keep the hook upright in the shad, so this line is intended for rigging soft lure bodies rather than buying a complete lure.
No. The spikes hold it in position while fishing, but the hook comes free from the shad during the fight. This release is intended to help prevent a catfish from shaking the hook free, so separation from the lure is part of the design.
Each pack contains five hooks in one size: 5/0, 7/0 or 9/0, with listed tackle weights of 30 g, 33 g or 36 g respectively. All share Japanese steel, an ultra-sharp point, 6X strength and A-Static coating. Choose by the hook size your soft lure requires, as no specific lure-length ranges are supplied.

The Madcat A-Static Shad Hook 6X is a single hook designed for freshwater catfish fishing with soft lures. Two spikes hold the hook in the correct upright position in the shad, helping maintain the intended hook placement during fishing.
During the fight, the hook comes free from the soft lure. This release is designed to help prevent a catfish from shaking the hook free, rather than keeping it fixed in the lure throughout the fight.
The hooks are made from high-quality Japanese steel, with an ultra-sharp point to support penetration when a fish takes the lure. Every size has the same 6X strength designation and A-Static coating. The colour is black.
Choose from sizes 5/0, 7/0 and 9/0. The listed tackle weights are 30 g, 33 g and 36 g respectively. Size 5/0 is the smallest option in this line, 7/0 is the middle option and 9/0 is the largest. Select the hook size to suit your soft lure, as no specific compatible lure-length ranges are supplied. Each pack contains five hooks in the selected size.
